Dane Rivers is the artist that never was, an original fictional artist created by songwriter and producer Stephen Miller.
He comes from a place where the 1970s never ended and West Coast airwaves are still filled with smooth soft rock.
His original songs, including “Smoke and Mirrors” and “Don’t Want Me Around,” capture the heart and sound of that era. With influences drawn from late 1970s soft rock and West Coast radio, Dane Rivers feels less like a revival and more like a forgotten artist finally being heard.
